Our Fishery
Wild waters. Pristine catch.
The West Coast of New Zealand's South Island is one of the most remote, productive and well-managed fisheries on Earth.
Westfleet's fishing grounds run from Cape Farewell in the north to Fiordland in the south — a coastline of empty beaches, cold currents and deep underwater canyons. There's no industry crowding the water here. It's just our fleet, the weather, and the fish.
New Zealand's Quota Management System is one of the most respected fisheries frameworks in the world. Every species is harvested to a scientifically set total allowable catch — so the resource stays healthy for the next generation.
We hold quota across most major West Coast species. Combined with our owned fleet and factories, that gives us something rare in seafood: total certainty of supply.
